Enabling decision-makers to choose the right option to grow, operate with excellence or be sustainable in line with their goals.
About
With extensive experience in designing and developing discrete event simulation (DES) models for the mining, metals, mineral processing, bulk material handling and downstream logistics industries, we are virtually enabled and have access to a large team of modelling specialists, with a wide range of experience.
Clients often express the need for newer technology that could add to improved forecast capabilities. A DES model can add true value to decision-making, because it is a representation of a dynamic, real-world environment on any given process which pertains to capital expenditure projects and operational excellence or continuous improvement initiatives, to only name a few.
Our Vision
To be the provider of choice for simulation models and digital twins that add value to any business that is dependent on material flow processes.
Our Mission
To enable decision-makers to choose the right option to grow, operate with excellence or be sustainable in line with their goals.

Services
State-of-the-art digital tools and techniques are utilized to evaluate, review, and improve mining, metals, mineral processing, bulk material handling and downstream logistics operations and processes. Our analytical results allow our clients to reduce costs, improve performance, and enhance sustainability within their project and operation environments.
Our Application
Our service-offering is provided on a consultation basis, during which we design and develop simulation models and digital twins to:
-
Analyze planned and current operational environments,
-
Identify and analyze constraints, bottlenecks and challenges
-
Inform alternative solutions, and
-
Consult during the deployment thereof.
Our Application Environments
Our simulation and digital twin models are widely used in expansion planning and operational improvement projects, it enables our clients to execute fast-paced and risk-free assessments on a wide variety of potential scenarios. Our digital tools and techniques offer a quantitative approach while ensuring all relevant system constraints are considered. Our DES models can be deployed during any project phase - concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, detail design, and operational phases.

Supply Chain and Logistics Models
Simulation models are excellent tools to evaluate a supply chain or logistics environment since dynamic effects such as congestion and logistical constraints are captured.
Some of the models we created include:
-
Mine fleet planning and management over Life-of-Mine
-
Rail fleet planning and management from pit-to-port
-
Conveyor systems: In-Pit Crushing and Conveying, Plant discard, Product stacking and dispatching, Open-Pit Backfilling
-
Iron-ore processing
Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Models
The purpose of the reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) dynamic simulation models are to test if the design and operating philosophies regarding operating factors allow resources to meet production targets.
These operating factors can include maintenance schedules, random failures, rate impacts, yield/recovery and quality performance.

Production Models
Production models determine if the bulk material flow, storage capacities and operational constraints of a production system are acceptable and allow operations to reach production targets.
These models are often utilized to identify bottlenecks, and if possible, move them to an acceptable position within the value stream. Additionally, these models can determine the required stockpile/buffer sizes and equipment capacities.
Dashboard Development
Data analysis is another service we provide to give clients a deeper understanding of their current Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and overall system performance. These types of dashboards are also developed for all simulation models we create.
